Blogging: I can
set up a blog for you. I recommend
Blogger for it's ease of use.
Video and Photo:
I can integrate media from YouTube,
Vimeo,
Flickr, or other similar sites
Graphics: I can
create any necessary graphics for your website that will be high
quality and easy on loading times. If requested I can provide the
original, editable images in Adobe Illustrator format.
Statistics:
You'll want to keep track of your website visitor statistics. I can
set this up for you using
StatCounter, Google
Analytics, or any similar service
More Tools:
Google Webmaster
Tools is a useful service that I can set up for you, for
tracking some basic website data.
More Pages:
Additional web pages for your website beyond the starting package of
5-7 are $50-$100 each, depending on content.
Clip Art: I
have access to a large library of clip art and royalty-free photos.
Ads: If you'd
like to display ads on your website, I can integrate
Google Adsense or other
advertisement systems.
Time
Estimation
One to
Four Weeks
A small website can be
completed within a week. The actual time of your project from start
to finish will vary depending on the size of the website, the amount
of edits required, and how quickly we're able to communicate during
the process.
The Process
- The first step is
for us to meet and discuss your website needs and goals. I can
meet you at your home or office, a local coffee shop, or we can
speak on the phone. I'll find out what your ideas are for your new
website, and we'll discuss the ways they can be implemented. Once
I have a good understanding of what you want, I'll give you a
quote on the project price and timeframe.
You should prepare a few things before we meet:
- domain name ideas
- overall design concepts including colors and layout
- any graphics you already have, such as a photo of yourself or
your office, your logo
- ideas for each page
- text for each page
- Your domain will be
registered and hosting service set up.
- I will create your
website.
- Once your website
is completed and functional, you will be able to review it and
decide if you want anything to be edited or adjusted.
- I will provide you
with all the source files for the website, and if you're
interested I can give you basic instructions for editing it on
your own.
Other
Important Points
- The website I
create for you will be wholly owned and copyrighted by you.
- Your website will
be tested in all major browsers for display congruency and
functionality.
- I am not currently
creating e-commerce websites or websites that depend heavily on
database functions. However, I can manage that type of website for
you if you already have one established.
- My web design
service is best suited for individuals and small businesses.
- 50% down payment is
required upfront, with the remaining 50% required when your
website goes live on the internet.
